What movie did you expect would be terrible, but was actually really good?
'40 Year Old Virgin'. I mean, just look at the title! Look at the premise! But it's actually got so much heart and a surprising amount of brains.
What's the greatest video game console on the market? Do you own it or is it on your wish list?
Right now, I'm going to have to go with the Nintendo Wii, based on the quality of games that are out for it. Yes, it has its gimmicky moments, but its just a whole lotta fun. Playing with friends on Wii Sports or exploring Hyrule on your own in Twilight Princess, it just has the quality in the games that is lacking from the other consoles right now. Xbox360 and PS3 might be prettier, but they have failed to delivery on gameplay far too many times.
And I own a Wii. We bought it the day it came out. I also own an Xbox360 and PS2. Not buying a PS3 until the price drops and they actually release more than one good game.
Where do you get recommendations for new books to read?
The real questions is where don't I get them! I work in a library for crying out loud! Books are everywhere!!! So, pretty much everyone is giving me suggestions, even if they don't know it!
After all the recent season and series finales, what are you watching on TV these days?
gods bless DVDs
Well, as many of you know, I just finished season 3 of 'Battlestar Galactica'. But this has prompted me to start re-watching the series from the top, so I'm halfway thru the Miniseries already.
I'm also watching 'Scrubs' season 4 on DVD, one of the seasons I missed when 'House' and such started up on the same night and time.
I've netflixed 'Supernatural' season 1 and I'm also waiting for the BBC Robin Hood series to arrive. Plus, movies!
And I loves my DVR - we watch a lot of Daily Show, Colbert Report, X-Play, Good Eats and other shows that are on random times of the day/night that you can only really catch when you tell your DVR to catch them for you!
Speaking of...I still have a good chunk of 'House' episodes to watch and I still have not watched the 'Lost' season finale! I know it's supposed to be so good, but I just can't get myself exciting enough to sit down for the 2 hours (though I'm sure that my fast forwarding through commercials will cut that time down by a bit).
So, yeah, I'm pretty much set for the summer.

How well does your name Google? Who are you up against? (Celebrities, etc.)
Submitted by Matt Blank.
My last name is relatively unique, so Googling my full name just gets you a project I did for work, a blurb I submitted for UMBC's website about one of my favorite professors, and a website credit for the site my boyfriend runs.
Googling my first name only you get lots of references to Kim Catrall from her role in 'Sex in the City'
Googling my last name only...well, you get some pretty silly things to do with shelving and the NY transit system.
What websites do you visit every day?
Submitted by Chez Michelle.
Soon as I get home from work (or wake up on a weekend) I hit my livejournal f-list. If it's not on there, it's not worth knowing.
Second, I check out Vox to see if I feel like answering the QotD or Vox Hunt.
Third is usually the DC Star Wars Collector Club forums to see if anyone found any new toys!
Occasionally I pop over to the BtvSFigs forums and the World of Warcraft site just to see if there are any updates.
But since reading/responding to my lj flist can take more than an hour sometimes, I tend to get bored and go play WoW or watch TV. I'm such an internet addict.
What's some good advice you've given to a friend, but not followed yourself?

"Just sit down and tell him everything you just told me, these are the things he needs to hear."
"He" being the significant other.
What's the infamous story people tell about you?
Submitted by Cherney.
This question is silly! I have no idea what stories people tell about me! So, I must ask you, people, what stories do you tell about me (if any)?
